POLICY’S, WARRANTY INFORMATION, AND DISCLAIMERS:

- RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE POLICY:

 

Here at Street Smarts Windshield Repair, we try to provide the upmost care, and respect, for our customers. However please keep in mind that our employees are allowed to refuse any service if they deem necessary. 

- DRY POLICY:

- Windshield Repairs:

We can NOT work on windshields that have been wet within the last hour of your expected repair. This includes Rain, Car washes, Wiper fluid, etc. If your windshield is currently dry, cover the damaged area with ONLY scotch tape nice and flush leaving no air bubbles. If its been wet, you MUST let it air our for an hour before covering it with tape. If we work on any damage that is wet, this will not allow the resin to fill in the damaged area properly, increasing the risk of the damage expanding, and not allowing us to put any warranty on the work.

- Headlight Restorations:

We can NOT preform a headlight restoration on a car that is expected to get wet within 24 hours of the restoration. If the car gets wet within 24 hours after the restoration this will interfere with the curing process leaving streaks, bubbles, peeling, etc. and will automatically void your warranty..

- SERVICE LIMITATIONS, LIABILITIES & DISCLAIMERS:

 

Thank you for choosing Street Smarts Windshield Repair. As a professional and experienced service provider, we take every precaution to provide high-quality and reliable Services. However, like any service there is some risks which we need you to acknowledge.

Windshield Repair:

- Glass Fragility and Risk of Further Damage: 

Windshield glass, while designed for durability, is inherently fragile and can very rarely be subject to further damage during the repair process, especially for repairs that are: Tesla windshields, “Gorilla Glass” branded windshields, on the edges of the glass, longer than 18 inches, damage that has broken the inner layer of the windshield, needs to be cooled, or if needs to be heated. Even though our technicians are trained, skilled, and take every precaution, there is always this possibility. This may include but is not limited to:

* Expanding cracks or chips *
* Additional fractures, breakage, or runs *
* Changes in the structural integrity of the glass *

While we take every measure to prevent this, please be aware that this risk exists and cannot be entirely eliminated. Here at Street Smarts our policy is, If you wish for us to stop the repair process if this happens we will, and will be able to offer a 50% discount. However, if you wish to continue as long as it is under our limitation of 18 inches we can for an additional $15 fee. Please note, if the damage exceeds our limited range of 18 inches, it will now be priced off the labor time and materials needed instead of the standard $15 fee. If you were offered any warranty it may no longer be offered anymore depending on how extensive the damage gets (You will be notified by the technician if this happens before they continue)

 Limitations of Repair: 

While repair typically restores functionality, visibility, and prevents further damage, it cannot be guaranteed for severe damage or any wet damage. This includes, but is not limited to, Damage that has been recently wet, Cracks exceeding 18 inches, Chips with a body that has a diameter greater than 3 inches, and Damage that broke the inner layer of the windshield. You accept that visible imperfections may remain, structural integrity may be weakened imposing possible risks of the damage continuing, risks during car accidents, and that no warranty may be offered. 

 Customer Responsibility:

 It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate information about the extent of the damage, If the damage has recently been wet, and if there is any additional damage in the windshield, as these may ALSO fall under these same risks, even if it is NOT being repaired. You must also inform the technician if there is any tint, and/or any windshield films applied as they may be subject to damage during the repair process. If in doubt, we advise notifying the repair technician currently there, so they may give your windshield a proper assessment

• Customer Acknowledgment Of Risks And Policies : 

By authorizing Street Smarts Windshield Repair Technicians to continue with any services, you are acknowledging and agreeing to the risks, disclaimers, and Street Smarts Windshield Repair’s policies referenced here on our website. You are also acknowledging and agreeing that Street Smarts Windshield Repair, and their employees are NOT responsible for any future injuries, and will NOT be liable for ANY damages.

 

- Headlight Restoration:

For our Buffing, or Graphene Ceramic Boost Package the average wait time is around 15 min 

For our Standard the average wait time is 30 min-1 Hour

For our Premium, and Elite Package the average wait time is around 2 Hours.

Our Standard, Premium, and Elite Packages take 24 hours to fully cure
For the Premium Package, you MUST let it sit in the sun for 24 hours to properly cure. Failure to do so will cause them to get hazy and will automatically void your warranty.

During the curing phase the headlights can NOT be touched, or wet. If you do not have somewhere dry to store the vehicle after the restoration we recommend booking on a day that isn't within two days of expected rain.

 
Keep in mind this is a headlight restoration, not a repair, we are NOT able, or promising to remove any deep scratches, cracks, or any damage to the headlights.

Please note that while our restoration provides a long-lasting protective barrier, the "ultra-glossy" finish requires regular maintenance (proper washing and occasional boosting) to stay showroom-bright. Our warranty specifically covers coating failure, such as premature clouding or yellowing. It does not cover surface dullness caused by road grime build-up or improper care (such as using harsh automatic brush car washes).

This is preformed in a not so well ventilated area, forcing me to do our aerosol clearcoats outside, so unfortunately I am subject to the weather. Due to this, we can NOT preform a restoration on a day expected  to be over 70% humidity, or that is expecting rain. 

The reason our restorations look so great is because we follow a meticulous, multi-step process, and while we love offering high-quality headlight restoration, please remember that windshield repair is the core of our business and our first priority. Due to this we highly recommend, or may be required to do this on an appointment day. With our restoration service our "At-Store Appointment Fee" is waived.

If you wish to get this done on our walk in days, to balance our service commitments, we may need to briefly pause your restoration to attend to windshield repairs extending the time it will take to get your restoration done. We highly recommend dropping your vehicle off with us so we can focus on getting the best result without you having to wait the full, potentially interrupted, time. Either that or come in on a day you know you are free, or book an appointment to ensure the work wont be interrupted.

In both situations, If you leave your vehicle, please remove all contents from inside before the drop off - We are not responsible for lost, or stolen property.

- OUR WARRANTY & REFUND POLICY:

 

Windshield Repair Warranty, and refund policy:

Here at Street Smarts Windshield Repair, we have so much faith in our repairs we give them Lifetime warranty if they meet our requirements! Although we only use the highest quality’s of resin, and have faith in our work, remember, windshields are pieces of glass that can vary in quality, glued in a fixed position, that undergo thermal expansion and compression which can cause stress. Due to these uncontrollable and possibly harsh conditions, there are a minute amount of repairs that can continue to get worse. Hence why we have our warranty, to try and do right by those windshields that are more susceptible. 


 We will now go over the specifics of our warranties:


 “Full warranty” : For damage that meets our requirements (Cracks under 18 inches, or chips with a body under a diameter of 3 inches) we offer a Lifetime Warranty. With this, if your repair ever worsens we can fix it again for FREE as long as it’s still within our requirements. Instead of redoing it you always do have the option to get a FULL refund. (The cost without taxes + fees)


 “No Warranty” : For any damage beyond our workable parameters, If you as the customer, still want us to try we can give it an attempt but we DO NOT promise it has a chance of filling in, stopping, or even slowing down the damage. In some cases it may even have the possibility to get worse DURING the repair. We are not responsible for any possible damages, and the client will not be allowed to receive a refund or any free redos if the repair fails.


In all situations we do NOT guarantee the chip & crack will look better, that’s just a common effect that is a possibility when a CLEAN chip & crack gets filled in. 

If you received a new rock chip, that then runs into a repair, this will NOT be covered under the warranty. The warranty only covers a repair that continues to run on its own.
A technician will need to determine if the failed repair was natural, and wasn't purposely caused. Any indication of a repair being tampered with will automatically have its warranty void.

Our warranty is automatically voided if the repair is tampered with, 're-repaired' at home, or serviced by another shop. If you notice an issue, please contact us directly so we can handle it for you
Please keep in mind our warranty only covers the structural integrity of the repair, such as if it expands beyond the repaired parameters. Our warranty does not cover cosmetic issues. Over time environmental factors may cause stress, which can cause optical change on the repaired area over time. As long as the damage remains contained within the repaired area, the repair is still considered successful and structurally sound. 

Warranty is ONLY valid with the appropriate square receipt, or square profile information associated with the repair. When receiving a refund you will only be refunded the amount of the failed repair, not any others or any previous repairs. We also must physically see in person that the repair failed BEFORE any replacements if you wish to receive a refund. If you replace the glass before we get to see it this will void the warranty.

For repairs processed through insurance coverage: Since the policyholder paid no out-of-pocket expense, cash refunds are not applicable.
This Lifetime Warranty is provided exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Coverage terminates immediately upon the sale, gift, or transfer of the vehicle to a subsequent owner. Proof of original purchase and valid ID may be required to honor any claims.

Headlight Restoration Warranty, and refund policy:

Our warranty specifically covers coating failure, such as premature clouding or yellowing. It does not cover surface dullness caused by road grime build-up or improper care (such as using harsh automatic brush car washes).
For the Premium Package, you MUST let it sit in the sun for 24 hours to properly cure. Failure to do so will cause them to get hazy and will automatically void your warranty.

Warranty is ONLY valid with the appropriate square receipt, or square profile information associated with the Restoration. 

We also must physically see in person the restoration failed BEFORE any replacements if you wish to receive a refund, a replacement before seeing in person automatically voids the warranty.

- PAYMENT OPTIONS & DISLCAIMERS:

As of right now we take Cash, Debit and Credit Cards, Cashapp, Afterpay, and Comprehensive insurance!
Please keep in mind, we charge tax on all forms of payment. All cards also have an additional 2.6%+15¢ fee, and cashapp comes with a 2.75% fee. 

If you wish to use Comprehensive Insurance as payment the following applies:
It is only available for our windshield repair service.
It only covers up to $50 of the bill. You will still be responsible for the remaining amount of the total bill.

You must notify the technician before the repair process begins. Failure to do so automatically forfeits this option.
You must present your physical insurance card.

We are only allowed to do 3 chips or less, and they musty be under the diameter of a quarter.

If it is a running crack it MUST be under 6 inches.

I strongly advise that you contact your insurance agent or check your policy documentation before initiating a claim

​While many insurance companies have no deductible for glass repair, it is crucial to check with your specific policy details, as some insurance providers may have one.

In addition to this, some insurance providers may still count a glass repair as a claim on your policy, which could potentially lead to a future increase in your premium or affect your claims history.
Please also be aware, in the event your insurance denies to render payment, or only pays a portion of the bill, you as the customer will be fully responsible for the entire unpaid balance of the invoice. 

BOOKING POLICIES & LIABILITY WAIVER

Please read these Terms and Conditions for our Windshield Repair Services carefully. By replying to our confirmation message with “I agree” and booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to all of the following policies, disclaimers, and service fees of Street Smarts Windshield Repair.

 Appointment Confirmation and Scheduling:

We take appointment requests for:

Sundays and Tuesdays: (9:00 AM - 5:45 PM)

After-Hours Appointments:  (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) 

For appointments on Sunday, or for After-Hours appointments, you may request the day of, however it is highly recommended to request the booking 24 hours in advance. This lead time is necessary for proper preparation and route planning, and to ensure it will not interfere with my personal plans. As we are a one-person operation, availability is limited, and we reserve the right to decline certain service requests. Your appointment is not confirmed until you receive a direct acceptance from Street Smarts Windshield Repair.

Please keep in mind an appointment is not officially booked until you receive an explicit confirmation from us via text message, or email.

To provide the best service to all our clients across the region, please allow for a 15-minute arrival buffer for all appointments. While we strive for exact punctuality, factors such as traffic or the technical complexity of a previous repair may impact our arrival time. In the event that we anticipate an arrival more than 15 minutes past your scheduled time, we will proactively notify you via text or call with an updated ETA.

 Service Fees:

A Service Fee may be required to secure your appointment and cover administrative and/or mobile travel costs. This fee may be invoiced to you in advance to secure your booking, and payment will be required before the appointment is officially confirmed. Alternatively, if the fee is not required to be paid in advance, it will be added to and reflected on your final invoice. Regardless of when it is collected, this Service Fee is a separate charge and is not credited toward the final cost of your windshield repair service.

Your total invoice will consist of the cost of the repair service PLUS the applicable Service Fee:
 

At Shop Priority Service Fee: Our on-site service fee, when you meet us at our business location, is $5.00.
 

Mobile Service Fee: Our mobile service fee, when we travel to your location, is $15.00. (Must be within 20 miles of our shop)

 Cancellation and Lateness Policy:

Cancellation: If you were required to pay the service fee before the appointment to secure your slot, you must cancel your appointment at least 6hours in advance to receive a full refund of your service fee. If you fail to cancel within the 6-hour advance window, your service fee is no longer refundable and will be retained by Street Smarts Windshield Repair.

Any cancellations after your arrival will be subject to our $15 Consultation & Assessment Fee. This includes but is not limited to any work that has been wet within the hour of your scheduled appointment, or work that exceeds our repairable limitations.

If you are scheduling an appointment for our windshield repair service, please note that we can NOT work on windshields that have been wet within the last hour of your expected appointment. If your windshield is currently dry, cover the damaged area with ONLY scotch tape nice and flush leaving no air bubbles. If its been wet, you MUST let it air our for an hour before covering it with tape. 

Lateness/No-Show: If you are booking at our shop location, appointments will be cancelled if the customer has not arrived and checked in within 10 minutes of the scheduled appointment time. For mobile appointments, the customer must be present or have clearly provided access instructions upon our arrival. If the repair cannot proceed after 10 minutes due to customer delay or absence, the appointment will be cancelled. In all instances of cancellation due to customer lateness, if you were required to pay the service fee before the appointment, the service fee will be forfeited (retained by Street Smarts Windshield Repair) as compensation for lost time, and a new service fee will be required to book a rescheduled service.

 Limitation of Liability and Guarantee:

Unrepairable Damage (Consultation Fee): If, upon inspection, the damage is determined to be wet, or unrepairable (e.g., crack over two feet long, damage to both layers of glass), we do charge a $15 consultation and assessment fee.

Risk Of Repair Failure: The windshield repair process involves injecting resin under pressure. In rare cases, this stress can cause a chip or crack to run further, potentially rendering the damage unrepairable. Street Smarts Windshield Repair is not responsible for any damage to your windshield that occurs during the repair process. This risk is inherent to all windshield repairs.

Initial Repair Failure: Should the damage run, we will immediately cease the repair. In this event, our liability is strictly limited to retaining the Service Fee as compensation for our travel and preparation time. We will not charge you for the repair service itself.

Elective Continuation of Repair: If the damage runs and you still wish to continue the repair, you may elect to proceed only by accepting additional risk and cost. You must agree to this via text message, or email for continuation. The repair will only proceed if the new damage remains manageable (under 18 inches total). If we proceed, a fee of $5.00 will be added for every 6 inches the damage grows past its original size.

Liability remains strictly limited: Even if the repair is continued, Street Smarts Windshield Repair is not liable for the cost of a full windshield replacement or any other associated damages. You agree that proceeding is done entirely at your own risk.

Repair Warranty: We do give our repairs a Lifetime warranty on the repaired damage. Should the repair fail or a crack runs from the specific repaired area within the warranty period, we will offer the customer a choice between: (a) a complimentary re-repair of the failed area, OR (b) a refund of the original repair cost (excluding the Service Fee). If you wish to get the refund, we MUST see the failed repair before you replace the windshield, failure to do this will void the warranty. We do not guarantee the cosmetic appearance of the repair or assume liability for damage outside the repaired area.
